The results of your social media networking depends on what you want to achieve with the time you invest on social media. If you have specific objectives, chalk out a plan before you get started.
Try to answer (as candidly as possible) why, how, when…to use twitter or other social media?
Why do you want to use twitter?

Here are tips on building your brand identity.

Shri,
Excellent tips for Twitter use! I love #8! I think the most misunderstood aspect of Twitter is not to go out and follow thousands of people, but to have those thousands WANT to follow you.
I didn’t know you could link your ezinearticles account with twitter either… I am doing that now.

I especially like: Don’t make your twitter stream look like your blog’s RSS feed.
When I choose to follow someone I look for three things 1.) Relatively good Follower/Following ratio 2) A last a couple “@’s and 3). Interesting non self-promoting feed.
