Viral marketing is strategic marketing that compels a customer to pass on that marketing strategy to someone else. How to install wordpress on godaddy server?
You can install WordPress on your godaddy hosting server straight from the control panel in just a few clicks.
To install and run WordPress, the hosting server just needs a couple of things:
PHP version 4.2 or greater
MySQL version 4.0 or greater
Godaddy’s basic, shared or premium Linux hosting (and not windows hosting) qualifies for these basic requirements. Now for the steps to follow:
1. log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the “My Products” section, select Hosting Account List.
3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open.
4. In the Content section of the Hosting Control Center, click the Go Daddy Hosting Connection icon. Go Daddy Hosting Connection displays.
5. In the Community Tools panel, click WordPress.
6. Click Install Now.
7. Read the End User License Agreement, and then click I Agree.
8. Choose the domain to install WordPress to.
9. Enter a database description and password, and then click Next.
10. Choose an installation directory, and then click Next.
11. Enter the Admin Name, Admin Password, Email and Blog Title for your WordPress installation. Click Finish.
WordPress will be installed to your hosting account with the options you selected. When it is complete, you will receive a conformation email.

Step 1: You need to create a database in your hosting account. To do this, login to your hosting account control panel, look for databases icon. Click create new database. Note the username and password.
Step 2: Download wordpress package from www.wordpress.org and unzip the package.
Step 3: Open up wp-config-sample.php and look for the database details on the database details.

Step 4: To run the installation file, you need to type http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/install.php (replacing ‘yourdomain.com’ to your website domain and extension.
Step 5: At the end of the installation it will give you a login and a random password. The password is random, so be sure to write it down or at least copy and paste it. Once you’re logged in you can change the password.

If you want to host your wordpress blog on godaddy, you’ll have to watch the operating system you will be choosing for your hosting account. Godaddy windows hosting does not accept wordpress installation. Instead you will need to choose Linux operating system. If you already have a windows hosting. Don’t worry… you can switch operating system in a few clicks.
To Switch Your Hosting Account Operating System. Just follow these steps
1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the “My Products” section, select Hosting Account List.
3. Click on the name of the hosting account whose operating system you want to change.
4. In the Hosting Account Details section on the right, click Switch Operating System.
5. Click Continue.
6. Click Save Changes.
There you go, your hosting server is ready for wordpress installation.
(Note: This change may make take up to 72 hours depending on the size of the site, the number of databases and other factors that may increase the complexity of the migration).
