Great Blog Traffic Tips By Yaro Starak
In every bloggers life comes a special day – the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else’’s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader – you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that’’s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.
Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.
It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called “traction”, which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Blog Traffic Tip: Blogger’s Vision and Focus
Blog Traffic Tip: 8 Vision and Focus
“A person with clear sense of purpose will make progress on even the roughest road. A person with no purpose will make no progress on even the smoothest road”: – Thomas Carlyle. that quote.
It has been proven that Vision is “the thing” in any success formula. Every outstanding accomplishment begins with an idea, a dream or vision. The key distinguishing factor I found common with virtually all of the successful professional bloggers, is their passion to follow their vision.
The successful individuals have one thing in common: their focus and commitment to the dreams in their life. If you are going to succeed to become financially successful, you need to do so by investing your life into a product/service and by becoming absorbed in every aspect of the process. You might need to work longer hours and harder, knowing that whichever financial status you attain in life is by choice.
Vision, as defined by Warren Bennis and Nanus in their book “Leaders – The strategy to take charge of a desirable realistic future state which does not currently exist”. So if you want to succeed as a blogger, your vision about your blog’s destiny is not an option.
Your reward in life is determined by the Quality of your product or service. Your vision will compel you to render quality service to others and in the end receive substantial reward from the rest of the world.
Make it a policy for your blog to always look out for that extra thing that will make your blog, products or services look extra nice to your readers/customers. Your vision should compel to bring out the best in you.

Blog Traffic 101: Multilingual blogging to reach international readers
Blog traffic 101: 101 innovative secrets to blog traffic campaign.
Tip 5: Multilingual blogging with global translator plug-in to reach out to global audience
We consider English as the universal language, but fail to realize that there are people who don’t speak English but trying to find answers & solutions for their questions. 80% of webpages on the internet are in English. You can grab more traffic by bridging this gap between info-seekers and information by turning your blog multilingual.
To further prove this fact, I did a little research on Google Trends.
Here is the image showing results for the term “blog traffic”.

Surprised to know that 2.5 times more searches are in Indonesian Language than English. Try using google trends to find out about the language trends in your niche.
Solution: To reach out to the international audience with different language preferences, you can install free global translator plug-in.
Alternatively, you can use Altavista’s babel fish translator. The resultant translation will be far proficient from manual translation. You at least know you tried.
Is your blog multilingual? What is your opinion about this tip? I’m looking for a translator that translates English – Indonesian
. If you are aware of any plug-in, widget that has this feature, please tell me about it. I’d appreciate your help with a back link.

Blog Traffic 101:Make your blog available offline
Tip 3 of Blog traffic 101 series: tips, secrets on how to increase free blog traffic.
You can make your blog posts available offline by adding “download as pdf” feature.
Your readers will bless you if you make your articles available as pdf downloads. Especially those that need repeated reference, like pillar posts, long articles, list articles, How tos, step by step guides etc.
This gives them an option to save your posts for frequent reference and print it for offline use. You might be wondering if this will have a blow on your blog’s visits and page views. True, but we are aiming at loyal readers. You are leaving your impressions on their desktops and offline reference material. Each pdf will contain a link to your blog / site address, so they will be reminded about your blog whenever they use your material coaxing them to revisit again for more.
You can add this feature with this wordpress plugin.
Or you can get a “Save page as pdf” button from pdfoline.
PDF is independent from the hardware, software and operating system (OS) that are used to create or view the document, resulting in a wider reach.
My Elite friends will get an email with the “Secret trick behind this blog traffic tip”. If you are not in my elite friends list yet, use the form on the sidebar to join in. You can read my elite friends page to learn more.
Earn .org .edu backlinks and pocket dollars
Blog traffic 101: tips, secrets on how to increase free blog traffic series: Tip 2
Here is a simple way you can earn some valuable .org, .edu backlinks + pocket some dollars
If you have the skill to install a wordpress blog, then you need are some visiting cards, time and persuasive marketing skills.
- Prepare the requisite material I mentioned above.
- Take your local telephone/business directory and list out all the local organizations. hospitals, churches, orphanages, retirement homes, stray pet homes, floral nurseries, green living organizations and any other non-profit organization.
- Consider colleges, schools, co-op & vocational training institutes for .edu links.
- List the addresses, call them and take an appointment to meet F2F (face 2 face) with their PR manager.
- Tell them about the benefits of having a website or blog and how they can reach wider audience. If they accept donations, coax them by telling them that they can accept donations through their website. They can also collect emails for newsletter subscriptions.
- They might be apprehensive about the cost it might involve. So tell them it’ll cost less than $10 per month (for domain and hosting).
- If you want to pocket some $, tell them the installation charges. (Keep it low).
- Buy a .org or .edu domain depending on the organization, install WordPress, necessary plug-ins and find a suitable theme.
- Leave your link in the footer.
This is very effective way and increases your page rank and fosters blog promotion. I do this once in a year (my charity resolution) which earned me PR 5, .org, .edu, .gov backlinks and loads of blessings from the neglected population of my neighborhood.
Please use the comments box below to add your thoughts, feedback, questions, ideas, tips, your charity resolutions ……

#Blog Traffic Strategies
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’ll be running a “blog traffic 101” campaign by posting “Behind and beyond the obvious” blog traffic secrets, everyday. I am starting the series with this post:
