Deeper Linking: Deeper Links Explained
Three types of links: On-domain links, Off-domain links, and No-Follow links. Each type of link is different and gives its own type of optimization to a pages it links to. We have derived our score to assume that the current domain wants to keep as much focused PR as possible so we mark down pages that link outbound more then a certain percent of the time.
On-Domain links: These help PR and generally boast a score because links are flowing back to the domain where the webpage is located and the pages inside the domain are likely to flow back to the original page.
Off-Domain links: They don’t hurt a page but they weaken the domain’s focusing PR power. We encourage people to link to good resources and it will not penalize a page if there are one or two links going off site. However if a page is 100% outbound links then at that point we drop the score a few points.
No-Follow links: We disregard these links and they are neutral. You can learn more about them by searching for “rel=nofollow” on your favorite search engine. We only want to see rel=nofollow links when third parties are adding the links. If you think the resource is quality then websites should not fear linking to it and giving them some PR. It actually shows search engines the site is a quality hub site. Another scenario for use would be if a link was to a third party and it was excessively used. This type of heavy linking to another site bleeds a site and we suggest it be sparingly use it in these cases.

A discussion on LinkedIn about factors leading to suspension of twitter accounts, inspired me to write this post. Loads of accounts are suspended in an effort to keep twitter spam-free. Twitter help doesn’t provide a detailed info / rules (except the obvious TOS) about the factors which lead to suspension of some accounts. As I see it, there are not many (if at all any) helpful articles on this topic. Let’s take a look at the factors now.
Top reasons twitter becomes suspicious of an account are
1) Following too many people too soon with very few tweets
2) With disproportionate following : follower ratio. (the former being way too high). Ex: following 1900, followers 90
3) Incomplete bio. A profile photo & bio are minimum
4) Tweeting only self-promoting links
5) Number of people blocking an account
6) Number of tweet-complaints about the account
7) Spam alerts sent to twitter customer support by users
No response to @ replies and direct messages.
9) Illegal / violent / explicit / obnoxious tweets
Transparent, informative, interactive, accommodating are the keys to twitter success.

10 Strategies to Create a Joyful Christmas

Does the thought of attending all those family and social gatherings that come with the Christmas holidays fill you with as much dread as with joyous anticipation? Whether visiting your own family or your in-laws, Christmas is a holiday that can trigger feelings of negative emotion.
You may be running between parents, in-laws, divorced in-laws as well as sharing time with your own children with your former spouse. Or, if your spouse is a physician, you may be spending part of Christmas alone.
It is finding the balance and focus within yourself that will determine how you get through the holiday season. Prioritizing your time and energy and developing a plan of action in alignment with your priorities is one of the best ways to allow yourself to experience a joyful Christmas. Try these 10 Strategies for decreasing stress and having a happy holiday.
1. PRIORITIZE. When looking at a long list of invitations, Christmas gifts to buy, and things to do, prioritize both your time and your energy. Keep things simple whether it’s in the gifts you’re giving or the events you’re attending. Begin by taking a moment to quietly reflect and ask yourself what’s most important to you this Christmas.
2. JUST SAY “NO”. Remember the “Just Say ‘No’” anti-drug campaign used in schools? It is possible to lovingly “just say no” to family and friends this holiday season. Trying to attend too many parties in a limited amount of time can be overwhelming. Again, prioritize your invitations by their importance to you and where you can give and receive the most joy.
3. SET BOUNDARIES. Sometimes family gatherings can trigger negative emotions. Families have a way of falling back into old patterns of behavior whether those patterns are life sustaining or not. You may want to show up for your family or for your in-laws and still have feelings of anxiety and dread. Setting a boundary on the amount of time you will spend at each event may make it more comfortable for you.
4. HAVE AN ALLY. Have an ally to support you whether it’s by going shopping together or attending gatherings. This doesn’t necessarily mean a date but someone whom you love and trust. You know who feeds into your negativity and who doesn’t. Choose someone who is detached from any feelings you may experience and can be present in an unconditionally loving way.
5. MAINTAIN YOUR SPIRITUAL SPACE. What is spiritual space? Extend your arms out to your sides. Now turn in a circle. Everything within the diameter of that circle is your spiritual space. That’s the space you’re responsible for keeping in alignment and at peace. The power centers within that space are your mind and your heart. No one can enter that space or disturb it without your permission.
6. ALCOHOL. Alcohol is a social lubricant, often allowing you and others to interact more comfortably. It affects the functioning of various parts of the brain. It may free you from your inhibitions, making you feel more comfortable in social settings but it can also cause feelings of exaggerated emotion. Staying sober or limiting your intake of alcohol will allow you to enjoy the moment as well as allow you to maintain your own inner balance.
7. CAFFEINE & SUGAR. Both caffeine and sugar are stimulants that can contribute to feelings of anxiety. They take your energy up fast and then they let you crash. If you’re already feeling anxious and overwhelmed, caffeine & sugar will only contribute to those feelings. Try some sparkling water with a twist of lime rather than caffeinated or sugary drinks or foods.
8. INTENTIONS. Stating your intentions for the day and for each event is a powerful way to create the Christmas you want to have. Take time to center yourself, ask for guidance and state your intention each morning and before each event.
9. EMPATHY. “Empathy is the capacity to recognize or understand another’s state of mind or emotion. It is often characterized as the ability to “put oneself into another’s shoes”, or in some way experience the outlook or emotions of another being within oneself.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empathy). Having empathy and compassion for those around you are the greatest gifts you can give.
10. GRATITUDE. Gratitude is the quickest way into alignment in any situation. Did you know you can’t feel gratitude and negative emotion at the same time? Christmas is a good time to make a gratitude list and to express appreciation through your thought, word and deed.

1. An optimized page should contain at least 100 words. Don’t hesitate to let your imagination run wild when it comes to the description of your products, thus creating quality content. Keep in mind that the first 30 to 50 words of a page are essential for that page’s rankings.
2. Strategic keywords should be placed at the beginning of the page, preferably within the first paragraph. For even better results, it is also recommended to use the feminine and plural versions of these keywords.
3. Keywords are more effective when they are emphasized in the following ways :
- put the keywords in bold script
- create a hyperlink on important keyword
- create a bold hyperlink, in order to achieve maximal efficiency
4. Repeat the most strategic keyword three times in the product description page. The perfect keyword density index score (that’s the number of occurrences of the keyword divided by the number of words in the page) is about 3 %. Try to reach a density of 2 % to 5 % with your important keywords.
5. Use the right words for your links. The word used for your link must be highly relevant to the content of the website it links to. It is totally ineffective to use words such as “read more” or “click here” for your links. Furthermore, you should always choose words (i.e. text) for your links, instead of an image.
6. Aim at quality of content instead of quantity. The more interesting and original the content of your product pages on your Zlio Shop, the more people will point “naturally” to your website, without you having to create partnerships or link exchanges with those other sites. The more quality links point towards your shop, the better your shop’s ranking in the Search Engines. If you want to participate in link exchanges, you should choose content-oriented partnerships that will offer real added value for your visitors.\
