Twitter is the most popular microblogging site and has revolutionized communication technology. We have heard various perceptions about twitter. Some think its extraordinary and some call it frivolous while some others consider it as a time-sucker.

  • Signup for a Twittad account.
  • Post Twitter account for advertisers to purchase
  • Select your duration & price
  • Wait for advertiser to purchase
  • Accept or Deny the proposed ad within 24 hours of purchase
  • If you accept, upload ad to the design section on your Twitter account
  • Notify TwittAd through your account maintenance page on TwittAd that the ad has been placed
  • Pay Twittad a commission of 5% on every ad you accept.

Usually the price range per Ad depends on your following. I’ve noticed price range from as low as $1 to as high as $250 per month. More often it is set between $10 – $15 for 7 days. You will have full liberty to set your price.

The formula is: more number of followers = more Ad price.

    i surfed through the twittadd but still dnt have clear idea how it works…

    Hi @Harish,

    1) Its pretty simple. If you signup and quote a price for your twittad, interested advertisers will pay the price & send you their ad image.

    2) In your twitter account settings > Design Tab, you’ll have to upload the ad image as your twitter background and leave it for the number of days you promised on twittad. That’s it.

    3) When people visit your profile page, they’ll see the ad in the background.

    That is some nice idea about monetizing a blog. I will surely try that on my blog and will update here of the results.
