Results after 24 hrs of “Lab Rat” experience.

My experiment this month: “I stopped reading blogs for 4 days”

Read more about the experiment here.

I subscribed for 58 RSS feeds from many pro blogs in my niche and few other fields that interest me. If a day starts with scanning at my RSS feeds, and clicking on most interesting ones (approx 10). I read (ok…coup d’oeil) at least 90% of them. As I mentioned earlier, these are pro-blogs, masters of interlinking posts and luring title writers. If I start clicking 2-3 more links from each post from 5 blogs, that takes my blog reading count to 9+(5*3) = 24 posts.

If you think that is a small number, then you haven’t calculated time spent on each. Apart from the time it takes to read a post, you must include time to read comments, page load time, noting points, commenting on blogs, clicking on recommended websites, assimilating info … and getting back to normal if all this bewilders you.

Finally Day1 Results of the experiment: In the last 24 hrs, I launched a new set of templates based on theme “healthy eating for kids” on my template store , posted 3 blog posts which have been drafted and were awaiting proofreading.
